How to view/find saved password Wifi passwords in windows 10


Sometimes you need to find your Wifi password after accessing Windows on your computer. There are situations when you need to use your WiFi password to use the connection on another device. In such cases you may not know how to find the saved Wifi passwords in Windows 10.This article will help you know how to find the Wifi passwords.

 You can follow the steps given below to easily find out the WiFi password inWindows 10.
·       Head to – Control Panel and then go to- Network and Internet after which simply select – Network and Sharing Center
·       Select your current Wifi connection
·       Click- Properties and open- Wifi network properties
·       Switch to – Security tab and then select- Show characters to view the existing Wifi password.

 The second method the helps you to find the current WiFi password on Windows 10 is through Windows command. Let us learn how to use this method.
In case you want to view all the Wifi passwords, you need to run certain commands in your command prompt.
·       Open- Command Prompt by pressing - Windows Key + X + C
·       Run the command -  netsh wlan show profiles to list all the Wifi connections present on your computer.
·       Next you need to run – netsh wlan show profile name = WifiConnectionName key= clear. This command will show the details of Wifi password for each connection.
You can insert Wifi SSID in place of WifiConnectionName stated in the above command.
Apart from the above two methods you can also use some third party software that helps you unleash the Wifi password in your Windows 10 easily. Some people aren’t comfortable using the command prompt method they can try out the third party software to find out the Wifi passwords.
